“I have been experiencing both anxiety and depression, and sought support from my GP, Dr Rainbow.
Dr Rainbow spoke to me about various areas of my life that could be contributory factors into my current mental decline, such as diet and exercise. This holistic approach to mental health was a surprise to me, as this was the first time that a GP had considered these aspects. Dr Rainbow also took the time to explain evidence based interventions, such as increasing gut bacteria, that could be having a detrimental effect on my mental wellbeing.

I have made changes to my lifestyle as whole, such as meditation, exercise, diet etc. These changes, alongside talking therapy and medication, have provided me with the information and skills to come out of my depression, as well as manage my chronic anxiety in the long term (something that I have never before been able to achieve).
